Texas Ballet Theater Announces 2025-2026 Season: A Bold Blend of Classic Elegance and Daring Innovation
Texas Ballet Theater (TBT) is thrilled to announce its 2025-2026 season, a stunning lineup that merges ballet’s most cherished masterpieces with bold contemporary works. From the Texas premiere of Trey McIntire’s Peter Pan to a tribute to Martha Graham’s enduring legacy, this season offers something for everyone—whether they are lifelong ballet fans or first-time audience members.
Season Highlights:
Peter Pan (Texas Premiere, Co-Production with BalletMet and Nevada Ballet Theatre)
September 19 – October 5, 2025
Choreography by Trey McIntyre | Music by Sir Edward Elgar (Arrangement by Neil DePonte)
TBT proudly presents the Texas premiere of Peter Pan, a co-production between Texas Ballet Theater, BalletMet, and Nevada Ballet Theatre. This newly envisioned two-act production, adapted from McIntyre’s acclaimed three-act version, makes its world premiere with Nevada Ballet Theatre in May 2025 before coming to North Texas.
Known for his dynamic storytelling and inventive movement, McIntyre brings fresh life to J.M. Barrie’s beloved tale, creating a whimsical and adventurous ballet that captivates audiences of all ages. Emma Bailey, acclaimed costume designer of SIX The Musical, brings her visionary artistry to the production, infusing it with vibrant and imaginative designs that enhance the world of Neverland.
The Nutcracker

A timeless holiday tradition, The Nutcracker continues to enchant audiences with its sparkling sets, mesmerizing dance, and Tchaikovsky’s iconic score. TBT’s beloved production is a magical way for families to celebrate the season.
Due to overwhelming demand, The Nutcracker performances frequently sell out well in advance. Audiences are encouraged to secure their seats early to ensure they don’t miss this magical holiday tradition. Tickets will be available for purchase soon, and early booking is highly recommended.
Diversions – A Mixed Repertoire

• Company B – Choreography by Paul Taylor | Music performed by The Andrews Sisters
Swan Lake
May 1 – May 17, 2026

One of the most revered ballets of all time, Swan Lake returns to the stage with its hauntingly beautiful score and exquisite choreography. This tale of love, betrayal, and redemption remains a masterpiece of the classical repertoire and a cornerstone of TBT’s artistic legacy.
A Season of Exploration and Excellence
This season embodies Texas Ballet Theater’s unwavering commitment to honoring ballet’s rich traditions while embracing the evolution of the art form. From the sweeping romance of Swan Lake to the playful magic of Peter Pan, audiences will experience epic storytelling, visually stunning productions, and some of the most captivating choreography in ballet today.
With the GRAHAM100 Project—a celebration of the centennial of Martha Graham’s founding of the Martha Graham Dance Company—TBT joins companies worldwide in honoring her groundbreaking contributions to modern dance. And with Diversions, the season explores movement in all its forms—from the precision of Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto in D to the dynamic energy of Bolero and Company B.
“This season invites our audiences to step into different worlds—whether it’s the moonlit lake of Swan Lake, the boundless imagination of Peter Pan, or the bold modernity of Diversions,” said Tim O’Keefe, TBT’s Artistic Director. “Each ballet was carefully chosen to showcase the incredible versatility of our dancers and to create an unforgettable experience for every audience member.”
